John Maus
I don't know who reads this or how familiar you are with John Maus, but i have no idea how i let the new album slip through the radar! This guy is a mess, in a great way! I really didn't know where he was going to go after the last album, but this is perfect, such a great progression for old fans, but so much easy to get into for new fans! You have to check out "We Must Become The Pitiless Censors Of Ourselves".
My personal fave is the 2nd track Quantum Leap

New Flozzer
I loved the old Florence and the Machine album, though it took me a while to get into it. I'm sure this new song will be the same. New album out in November too, and it seems like it's been produced by Paul Epworth, so no doubt it will be another winner.

DA-10 (WotNot)
Armed with an MPC 1000 and Roland Juno 6 and SH-09 synths, 10-David and Soccer96 keyboardist Danalogue's debut release has already received attention on Tom Robinson's BBC 6Music show, as well as airplay from Jon Phonics and Om Unit. The EP's crisp drums, twinkling lead lines and poo-your-pants bass have led to a great reception across a variety of musical circles. With no computers and minimal sequencing, this promises to be an electronic set with a difference.

Zedex (Metamimetic)
P.Boro's duo Zedex's sun-drenched Zulu X-Ray marks an incredible follow up to last yearʼs debut High Crimes, with the duo delivering high energy disco-house. Zulu X-Ray boasts their strongest work to date; featuring the incendiary “Kiss Me While I Love You”, a track of cut up vocals, funky guitar riffs and powerful italo-basslines. The EPʼs title track “Zulu X-Ray” features a vocal collaboration with Brooklyn-based soul singer Sam Wilkes.
With live synths and electronics, you should expect Zedex's maximalist house sound to step up to the next level.

Deft (Disconnected)
With influences ranging from hip hop to garage and grime, Deft's eclectic sound couples inventive beats with rich sound design. His first release came earlier this year in the form of space-funk banger "Paradise" on Disconnected Sounds's first vinyl release. His diversity will soon be demonstrated on the upcoming WotNot vs Metamimetic 12", with beats/bass on one side and house on the other. Get a taste of what's to come with his live Ableton set.

BoaBoa (Dark Party)
It's hard to describe what to expect from BoaBoa's DJ set without slathering him in superlatives. This jackin house don specializes and key figurehead of the Dark Party blog is known to travel far and wide playing alongside the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Hot Chip, Louis La Roche and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. As well as being one of the humblest DJs on the London scene, he's undoubtedly one of the most talented and charismatic performers you will ever encounter.

Fazhands x SweetFA
The two minds behind the Metamimetic label come together to play a very special back to back DJ set. Fresh from destroying East London's CAMP Basement last month, the two DJs come label bosses have gone from strength to strength this year; playing gigs from LA all the way to London; this one's not to be missed!

7. Spectrals, with the new album coming out in October on Witchita, they're so tight right now, sounds amazing live

9. Factory Floor, playing new material that sounds as great as ever!
10. Glasser, well just for making beautiful music to finish the festival on
11. The burrito that i had was amazing, and let that be a tip to you, you'll only need to eat once if you have a burrito

Sleeping With Wolves

Azari & III - Manic
As John has got the ball rolling on the blog (us Gingers work in pairs), I thought I'd pitch in with the new Azari & III single "Manic". It's amazing. It took me a while to get into it, but the vocals are the catchiest since "Hungry For The Power", and it has a massive ammount of energy about it, much like the live show.
The album is out on Monday (YOU CAN STREAM IT HERE) and they are playing XOYO on Thursday. Me and Nic AM from the Dark Party crew are going, and you should too. There are still tickets available here. They are genuinely one of the best live bands I've ever seen, and challenge the intensity of Plastikman.
I honestly don't have a bad thing to say about these guys, and hopefully when you listen to the album, buy it, then see them live on Thursday, you wont either.

Lover Lover
Lover Lover are Eleanor Bodenham, Martin Craft (M. Craft), with production from Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun, Pnau, Cirque Du Soleil), everyone is all over them at the mo, and its all cos of NL, i dunno, i hate when people get to carried away with association. I get the production is massive, but you've got to have something to work with right? This is a solid tune, nice and airy, enjoy
