Just a couple of bands i've been listening lately.

Firstly The Answering Machine a great little 4 piece from Manchester. They've toured with Rumble strips and are currently doing the rounds with the likes of Twisted Wheel and Bombay Bicycle Club as well as playing Brighton's Great Escape festival. May the 18th holds the release of their next single "obviously cold". The next few months is looking to be a busy period for the band with there debut album also being released.

Here's the video for there next single "Obviously cold"

Secondly There Were Bears a group with a core set of performers who draw on the talents of a number of different friends, so the line ups always varying. They've just made there first E.P. "Morning's" which has a limited release of a 100 hand numbered records and is available from David's music in Letchworth or directly from the band its self. The band have got a few dates lined up which you can see details of on there myspace which is at the bottom of the video if you like your bands with more talented musicians than you can shake a stick at get down and have a look at this lot.

Here's a video of their track "Run Dry The River"
