Ok so some recent bad news has dampened a few spirits and squashed a few dreams, but we're not letting the loss of our club become the death of us.
The merch, the DJ's and this blog are all continuing, with a Dark Party event to come soon...
In the meantime, something is stirring down on the south coast...
WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS returns early next month with the second installment of their stupidly famous BLOCK PARTY.
November 2008 saw the streets and venues of Bournemouth run amok with 2,300 wide eyed dance music fans all desperate to catch a sound of their favourite producers/artists, including Herve, Alex Metric, Example, Eddy Temple Morris, Man Like Me, Caspa, AC Slater and so so many more.
And so May 2009 has given rise to the 2nd Block Party, in partnership with Rob Da Bank's festival sensation Camp Bestival / Bestival. The line up includes Brodinski, Jack Beats, Primary 1, Doorly, Rob Da Bank himself, Drums Of Death, Thick As Thieves, Jac The Disco and many many more bands and DJ's, set over 4 venues.
The hype and essence of the early American block parties that bound music and good times together are re-born in the UK. For a tenner. FIRE.
