The Hundred In The Hand, the name rings a bell right? i can't figure it out either. anyway, with their dreamy and warm sounds, the new single "Sleepwalkers" has such a danceable beat, reminding me of Asobi Seksu and Memory Tapes. really looking forward to hearing the full length out on Warp Records later this year
so what does every body think? it reminds me of them, it seems like a natural progression. i just don't think it's gonna be as big as anything from the first album, it'll be interesting to see whats next
here's the new single streamed from their web site, HERE
so we all know who he is, and what a legend he is too, and to celebrate his 60th birthday, a new book has been release called "signed, sealed and delivered" and we're lucky enough to have 2 to give away along with 2 best of album's!

The man who invented the headphones any self respecting DJ uses has passed away it was announced today. Dr Fritz Sennheiser passed away on monday morning aged 98! he passed over the company to his Jorg, in 1982 but was still involved in the company until is last few days. guy was a proper legend and helped make the best headphones i've even warn/had the pleasure of using. RIP
so our mate, TEED has just put together his new EP, its ridiculous! its some kinda of hybrid of all thing electronic. its as if TEED has take 2 or 3 or sometimes 4 different styles of music and just smashed them together, but somehow no made a mess. this is floorless i can not stress this anymore
don't really know why or how i've havent heard Sage Francis before, but word needs to be spread! this guy is awesome, with sounds similar but less country than buck 65. working with Saul Williams, Yann Tiersen and on his 9th album, he has a solid legacy. selling out his first UK date in less than 2 days, this guy will be blowing up shortly
so i think i'm in love with the Ohio music scene...i think this is now my 4th or 5th post on a band from the state... i havent been stalking i promise! BUT ANYWAY, FIRS, they're great! their warm tones and mono keyboard sounds are just dreamy and charming. the video for the song "Whale In The Night" is loads of fun, its cut and paste stylings really suit the band, it just makes me smile
Javelin are this hiphop lo fi indie old school sounding 2 piece from Brooklyn. i was lucky enough to catch them at SXSW this year, and live they did not disappoint, almost over sold the experience to me! good summer time vibes coming off this, a must for every BBQ
catchy and infectious, i really can't stop listening to Young Buffalo. easy to compare to likes of Local Natives and other "new" bands that are using the vocal harmony and afro beat sound, but there's just something about these guys that puts them just a bit above the rest
so i was in the pub the other day with friends from The Sans Pareil and The Train Chronicles, and we were all talking about new alt country artists we've heard, and literally all at the same time said Diane Cluck. she has this unconventional sound you can just get lost in, like a scary dated italian horror film. its just beautiful. Can't wait to see her when she visits the UK
don't be fooled by the photo, Dominique Young Unique isnt just something to look at, she KICKS OFF! defo one to watch for this year! playing at Stag & Dagger as well as The Great Escape, i'm sure this year will be hers! with a blend of fun and games, and seriously catchy lyrics, there is no reason why she wont be the hottest thing this summer
Future Trends is this solo minimal layered electronica project from ohio student Andrew Clark. covered in warmth, Future Trends songs do get quiet addictive, hence some media attention from NME and LOBF
