Crystal Fighters - i've still yet to see these live, Smith Tropical has seen them, he said they were weird, but fun, with backing singers. backing singers sound good to me

My obsession with the proximity to my favourite season continues. Close to completing the dissertation, I have just spent the early hours crusing my favourite music download website. Thus, I thought I'd share some releases that I'm extremely excited about. I reckon Summer will be pretty much here soon? Oui.
1. Crystal Fighters - Xtatic Truth (Renaissance Man Remix)
This is arguably the sound of my summer. By far. Helsinki never sounded so good.
2. House of House - Rushing To Paradise (Walkin' These Streets)
Fuck. A 13 minute epic that purely demonstrates everything a good house record should have.
3. Knightlife - Discotirso
This track keeps my passion for the disco revivial burning. Alongside this little number...
4. Space System - Stupid Cupid
Guitar driven, minimal Sonic Youth-ish disco for astronauts. Christ.
5. DJ PP - I Like House Music
Because I do, and I like piano forte. Which is in this tune. Blah.
Ive been rather lackadaisical of late so i thought id bring you a few of the artists and tracks that have caught my eyes and ears of late.
Defend Moscow- Are a great five piece from all reaches of the globe.Taking influences from bands such as the pet shop boys and chromeo they've created some epically good synthy pop dreams, hows that for an over the top description, who needs NME when you've got Tea. Check them out at there myspace.
Clash the Disko Kids- An electro-techno -house trio coming straight out of singapore these guys came to my attention with a mix of La Roux in for the kill which is an absolute belter. This lot are just there to make people dance. Check them out at ......
It is well known that Basti’s mixture of groovy, minimal techno and deep, tribal sounds make his productions unmistakable and his attitude towards music unique.
And none are more grateful for his further exploration and development of the sound than me, having picked up the debut album this week, out on his own record label 'Hohenregler'.
The ten track release sees the Frankfurt man craft music with a range of samples and noises from trumpets and big brass, to the echoes of the tropical rainforest. Recent jackmode favourite El Latino features, alongside some brand new creations.
I fucking love Basti Grub. And you should too. Grab "Das Dschungel Orchester" here.
Word up. I just recorded a new mix with aloda tunes by producers im really into at the moment. Its not loud, its not noisy, its bouncy, jackin' house music. Hope you like it, tell your friends and check out some of the artists such as Renaissance Man and Zombie Disco Squad.
1. V.V. Brown - Shark in the water (Zombie Disco Squad) [Island] 2. Daniel Steinberg - Cocolips [Superdub Digitales] 3. Daniel Steinberg - Cry at night [Superdub Digitales] 4. ICS - Espagnol [Dirtybird] 5. Renaissance Man - Rythym [Kitsune] 6. Douster - For weirdos only (Mommas Boy) [Sound Pellegrino] 7. Mixhell - Boom Da (Downtown) [New Judas] 8. No matter who you are or where you are when this gets played you look at you mate and utter the words 'tune'. Robin S's 1993 classic 'Show Me Love' was reworked to huge applaud last year by house dons Steve Angello and Laidback Luke. They mashed it together with their hit 'Be'. And destroyed every dance floor last summer. it is coming up for re release and a repeat performance this summer and is defiantly going to be a house anthem for a whole new generation.
i don't know who else reads this that remembers MTV2 as a good music channel?
when there were no adverts no shit music no repeating come on really, how hard is it to programme 24 hours of music a day? i know people, including myself that would do it for fun
the other evening, i turned it on and who did i see, fuckingbono, on MTV2 the music alternative. i can't believe how some people kicked up about "bonkers" being on there, but can stomach this? i know alot of people gave up on MTV2 when it got rid of 120minutes, but i thought i'd give it some more chances, but now, i'll just stick to youtube
one of my favourite bands died, and then 2 of my favourite bands decided to make this band Future Of The Left
having taking ages, and only palming us off with a live album, the new studio album has been longingly waited for, "Travels With Myself And Another" is said album
having been a massive fan boy of mclusky, i really do enjoy this band, for catchy music and witty lyrics, this album delivers. with probably stronger songs than from the first
songs such as "I Am Civil Service", "Throwing Bricks At Trains" and "Drink Nike" bring that horrible off key sing along quality that you expect and know from these guys, and the new single is already all over MTV2
DARK PARTY is originally a Saturday club night in Luton, playing whatevers fun to dance too /new indie/electo/alt/dub
we came out of the ass end of ssshhhh!!!who, in its short life managed to pull off parties in office blocks, and disused hair dressers. putting on Tiger Force, CockNBullKidand T3ETH
